The Leicestershire Rural Strategy 2007-2014 was launched in July 2007. The strategy provides a broad strategic framework for members of the Leicestershire Rural Partnership to co-operate on service delivery and project development in the interests of Leicestershire’s residents and communities.

The three-year Action Plan builds upon the strategic framework and provides detail on priority actions to be delivered between April 2008 and March 2011. Activity has been developed against the five strategic objectives and sub-priorities from the Rural Strategy.

The plan is a working document and will be periodically amended to reflect changes agreed at the LRP Management Board or future project developments overseen by the LRP Executive Group.
